a chase, a crash, and two sfpd officers ending up in the hospital. two people who the cops were chasing were also taken to the hospital and then arrested. here's nbc's sergio quintana. a small crew of emergency damage workers spent the morning piecing together a temporary frame and plywood door after a police suv crashed into the building at the corner of san bruno and paul avenues. it all happened just across the street from where martha gutierrez lives. she shared video with us showing what she saw out her apartment window. she says the police suv seemed to try to cut off a white sedan in the intersection during a chase. you can see the skid mark that's from the police suv as it skidded through the intersection and then careened into the side of the building. video from the scene also shows the damage done to the sfpd cruiser. we're told both officers in the suv were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injurs. gutierrez says after the crash, four people in the car that they were chasing jumped out and tried to get away. she watched
