sfusd rks 4892 and peer district, 2853 at the median. a 47 percent difference higher for sfusd.ng at staffing, a comerable pattern emerges and you see that in the lower 3 rows of the table with total central administrative filled fte in fiscal 21, 1294 versus the peer median of 674.3. when analyzed per student and we measured per every 10 thousand students to make the numbers more understandable, sfusd at 224 versus 138.4 for peer districts. just briefly, what is central administrative? there can be many ways defining this, districts do it differently and want to highlight it. all the details are in the report what it includes but it is the obvious things you might expect like superfl tendant office, the bord of education, human resources, it, but also includes plant maintenance and facility management and the instructional supervision and administration function, which is coaching, planning and support for teachers provided by the central staff. they are not necessarily providing clasroom service but they are supporting the teachers in the classroom and also working on curricul

and sfusd alumni. i'll be talking about the vision and goals for our native and pacific islander students. these are the college career goals set by board of education. third grade literacy students, the percentage of all grade students reading at grade level will increase from 52% proficiency rate in october 2022, to 70% by october 2027. our students were only 20%. 8th grade math students percentage of all grade students performing math at grade level as measured by the state test will increase from 42 proficiency in october 2022, to 65% proficiency by 2027. for nhpi only 19% were proficient. college career readiness, the percentage of all high school 12 graders who are college career ready, as defined bit california department of education, will increase from 57.5% in june 2020 to 70% by june 2027. due to the pandemic, cde college career report for 2021 and 22 include only a sub set of cci measures reporting of all measures and overall rate will resume in 2023. next slide please. this slide i want to

but after months of debate and research, the sfusd board of education came out with a new list of recommendations for adding district holidays tuesday. the recommendations include ways to recognize diverse religious holidays like eid, yom kippur and good friday without formally labeling them as school holidays, for example, schools could urge teachers to not schedule critical events like exams, field trips or assemblies on those days of religious significance. for those who pushed for the holiday, the new proposal doesn't work. >> a lot of other districts have tried that. that doesn't work because students still feel that guilt of having to miss school even if they have excused absence. >> reporter: the san francisco-based arab resource and organizing center started campaigning for the schools to recognize eid as an official holiday in 2021. the board of education hasn't ruled it out yet, but many say the latest recommendations are a clear sign they're headed that direction. >> we feel this is a civil rights violation. we will continue to fight back. >> reporter: paul scott sits on the other side

collaborations with other disability organizations, such as support for families of children with disabilities, sfusd special ed, bay area outreach and recreation program and the citywide inclusion collaborative. so, next, i just wanted to give a quick update on the bike program. it's not something that's a result of a commitment but we're in the recreation business and this is a recreation program for people with disabilities in golden gate park and it's showing great success since we reopened the program. so the photos on slide 23 include people getting ready for, to go out on a ride in the new site for the adaptive bike program behind the ban shell. it's right where the bike and segue rentals and food trucks are. the other photo is someone riding a hand cycle in the music concourse. and then the photo on the bottom is a group of riders getting on a variety of bikes and lining up for a photo at the entrance to the accessible parking lot. we moved the location of the bike program to the ban shell and created a reservation system so people can reserve a bike that's right for them. the new site is rig
