organizers leading the recall effort of oakland mayor shan tao will start gathering signatures from the community. the group, oakland united, will hold a rally to formally begin the petition at 11 a.m. campaign organizers say they want the mayor removed because she has failed to address violent crime in the city. nearly 25,000 signatures are needed from registered oakland voters in order for the recall to qualify in november's general election, mayor tao missed the deadline to respond to this recall effort. also in oakland, it's been one year since the first african methodist episcopal church suffered a devastating fire, and now they're ready to start rebuilding. the historic church will host a commemorative event this weekend to honor its 160 year legacy and look to the future here. here's abc seven news reporter tim johns. >> monday marks one year to the day that the first african methodist episcopal church in oakland went up in flames. the church, which is commonly called fame oakland, is the east bay's oldest black church and has been a staple in the community for 160 years. this ci
