hello, conor. >> reporter: hello, shannon.ighting today was reduced in comparison to what we've seen in the last two weeks or so. but it had not disappeared. we continue to hear rocket fire leaving gaza, heading towards israel. we continue to hear israeli artillery and tank firing pounding the gaza strip. it has reduced somewhat today. yesterday we had a 12 hour cease-fire that was held toby both israel and hamas. israel then tried to extend it for four hours and then an additional 24 hours. hamas rejected both of those. but then this morning hamas proposed 24 hour cease-fire. that cease-fire as i saidbeen r. hasn't held the entire gaza strip. we're hearing there's a lot of working done in paris and around the world where international officials are meeting with both israeli and palestinian leaders to craft some type of long term cease-fire. at the minimum a short term 24 hour humanitarian cease-fire. secretary of state john kerry did say he thought the framework was in place but there are a couple of issues right now holding

how much they disagree with each other as shannon indicated. first you have this ruling comes out in the d.c. circuit, which yes, would undermine obamacare big time. 90% of people on those federal exchanges are subsidized. 4.7 million people could face increases of premiums of 76%. so it could be huge. however, go 100 miles south and you go to richmond, and that circuit said no, no, no, we're not talking about the plain language in the statute, which is what the d.c. circuit relied on, we have to go back and look at what obama said and what congress said about this healthcare law when they passed it. and they did not intend to have two classes of citizens, you know, you don't get a subsidy if you are one class and do you get a subsidy if you are another class. said this is just about people trying to undermine this law. these are very very opposite views of what that law says. >> you know though who the really rotten ones in this i think are? it's congress. i think it's the democrats who vote for obamacare. the reason we have this problem is be

i will tell you a brief story from shannon. shannon is from nevada. she was raped by a teacher. the teacher was later convicted of sexual assault and sentenced to life in prison. nine years later, this is what shannon wrote, and i quote -- "when i was a senior in high school, mr. peterson approached me and said i would need to go to night school if i wanted enough credits to graduate on time." and of course he taught one of those coarses, a computer class. i was 17, and he raped me four times over the course of a year. he said he would fail me if i ever told. he also hit me, made threats against me and my family, so i didn't. i held it in for a year and a half. in the end, 66 people offered to testify against peterson. his first victim dated back to the year i was born. some of those who spoke were parents. their daughters had complained at the time but nothing was done. that made me very angry. still does. i learned that a handful of teachers and two principals knew about him, and his teaching license had been revoked in michigan years before and no one knew why. i'm different
