i'm shannon sims. >> steve: both of those suspects live in racine. they are 33-year-old heather jensen and terry bogart. they're accused of neglecting 26 dogs they had n inside their home. >> shannon: they were in court today. >> reporter: this is a quiet residential block, and neighbors are split on the feelings about what happened here. misunderstanding. friday police were called to the home for an animal complaint. the officer said he was only inside for about 30 seconds, because the smell of urine was so strong. the officer describes the living conditions and says feces or dirt was smeared on the walls. the floor was covered in a thick coat of dog fur. he saw small cages stacked too high with large dogs inside. the officer saw a big amount of dog food on floor and no water. heather jento she was running a dog rescue out of her boyfriend's home. the humane society is taking care of 24 of the dogs, the other two were handed over to family since they are jensen's personal animals. we'll have more on this story for you tonight on the news at ten. >> s
