shannon stone channel 7 eyewitness news. >>> all new this half hour, a frightening reminder of the dangers of red cross for a family in queens. five people including children were rushed to the hospital after elevated carbon monoxide home on 77th street and bayside. >> that's right dave. outside the family's home here in bayside, where yes carbon monoxide fumes nearly wiped out an entire family this morning. it was the homeowner himself who called 911 at about 6:00 a.m. after he stumbled and fell. the first responders dave came from the local firehouse it would be engine company 326. it is a good thing they did because they all have carbon monoxide detectors on their turnout gear on their coats. when they stepped inside the house those detectors went off. they instantly evacuated everybody, some of them too overcome to walk. worried neighbors watched as the two young children were carried from the home in the arms of the firefighters. >> i saw the wife first coming out in the stretch and then the the fireman's shoulder and they put them in the ambulance and then i saw the husband, his fath
