. >>> for more on news before the bell, we'll go to sharita brantley at cnbc world headquarters. good morning to you. >> reporter: good morning, scott. futures are mixed as wall street ends the first quarter today. stocks ended up yesterday just shy of the highs for the year, but still light in trading volume. the markets are posed to close out the lowest tech quarter since the late 1890s. we get data today on new filings for unemployment, manufacturing and factory orders. the dow rising 71 points on wednesday to 12,350. the nasdaq was adding 19 to 2776. >>> the annual plantings report will be leased this morning. this shows how many u.s. farmers will devote to corn, wheat, soybeans and cotton this year. those are all commodities that have big effects on clothing makers and food makers. >>> hershey is raising prices by nearly 10% to offset higher prices. consumers may not notice changes right away because retailers can still buy products at the old prices for about eight years. americans spend $2 billion on easter candy. but i think people may pay up for the sweet stuff. >> thank
