of course, everyone is worried about the sharks, and concerned about the sharks. these boats will actually be leading the swimmers back to shore. these are the pilot boats and these are the boats they will be following as they swim the mile and half from alcatraz to the shoreline area. they are making their way across the bay and into this area. the boats are set to leave about 7:00 to 7:30 a.m. this morning and swimmers are set to jump into the water at around 8:10 a.m. organizers told me there has been lots of awareness about the shark attacks, the shark attack that we have that dramatic video of. if there had been a second incident within one week he probably would have rethought this or figured out exactly what they were doing come but since it was an isolated incident they will go ahead with the event as planned. 60 swimmers making their way from alcatraz to the shore. the organizer told me that they have a waitlist, so there were no cancellations and people were still eager to take part in this. this event though, only open to dolphin club members. so again,
