sharon murch is joining us. her daughter, michaela was kidnapped in 1988. sharon, as you've watched this unfold, is it eerily similar to what happened to your daughter? >> well, yes, there are a lot of similarities between jaycee's kidnapping and michaela's kidnapping. the cases have intersected in the investigations over the years because of those similarities. and when jaycee was found alive, my first thought was, please, god, let michaela be with her. >> and, of course, we know that she wasn't with her. has there ever been an arrest or an active suspect in the case of michaela? >> there have been a number of suspects. the police have investigated over 13,000 leads in the last 20 years, but there have never been any arrests. >> do you still hold out hope that she's alive? >> i do still hold out hope that she's alive. one of the neighbors of the garrido's several years ago reported that there were girls living in the backyard and they reported that there were not three girls living in the backyard, but five girls. so that leaves two unaccounted for. and i'

. >>> let's check in with sharon gibala at wjz traffic control. hi sharon. >> hi vic. the roads are a mess this afternoon. let's talk about a problem on 95. 95 southbound at the beltway blocking the right lane with a backup there to the key bridge. another accident on the inner loan on the washington boulevard blocking a left lane, a backup there to 295. a crashing in reischer town, also an accident in -- on the jfx that one at falls road, another one in cockeysville and york road at ashland, two at cromwell and east prexton. here's a look at your drive times and speeds, all are slow in the 20s and 30s with a 19 minute drive time on the top side of the beltway between 95 and 83. there's a look at the top side between green -- actually the delay runs from park heights to providence. that will take you 16 minutes to get through that area. there's a look at the west side inner loop delays there between baltimore national pike and security. and then a second inner loop delay because of that accident between 295 and washington boulevard. that is the delay because of that ac

sharon, what can people like hallie do? what should they do?e reward cards seem like a great thing, but one thing to keep in mind is how the program works. you may think you're racking up all these miles to get that free plane ticket. it may not happen if something happens to that particular company. the thing to remember about canceling your cards, yes, it can impact your credit score because one of the things you want to look at is the ratio. what is the outstanding balance on all the cards versus the overall credit limit on all the cards. you with a unt to keep that below 20%. when it goes above, that can be an issue. when the cancel the card, that may happen. that's a short-term hit. the other thing is the age of the credit cards. how long have you had them? she hasn't had them very long. what you want to see on your credit history is the length of time you have. the longer you have, the better it looks. if you cancel a card, the newer card, it won't affect your score as much. my advice would be to cancel maybe one card at a time. do the ne

what are the key in numbers to watch sharon? >> this week the markets will focus on a number of economic reports, the most closely watched on friday with the labor department september employment report. investors are very concerned about job losses because of the impact on the economy and particularly on consumer spending. the unemployment rate hit 9.7% in august and is expected to tick up closer to 10% this month. but the good news is the pace of job losses has been declining. 741,000 jobs were lost in january of this year, compared to 216,000 in august. now, economists forecast the job losses will in come in under 200,000 for september. on the home front a widely watched price index comes out on tuesday and may offer another sign of recovery, but if it shows home prices continue to rise, the question remains whether that rise hinges on the first time home buyer's tax credit that expires december 1st. the markets are optimistic about manufacturing. one key measure is improvi and traders and investors want to see that growth co
