charleston county deputies are striking back against accusations by al sharpton's national action network over a stabbing incident. the sheriff's department said quote "our approach to this particular incident is no different from any other criminal acts that our agency has investigated in the past." greg brown says he was stabbed at a convenience store on christmas day when he tried to break up a fight between two women. one man has been arrested for the stabbing and charged with first degree assault. the national action network accused the sheriff's department of "not" "i just want him to be in jail..justice to be served. it didn't matter if he was white, black...i just want the job to be done the right way." investigators say brown will also be charged in this case, for stomping on the stabbing suspect. the family of a woman killed by a train while shooting a movie are asking a judge to keep a filmmaker in jail. former "midnight rider" director randall miller is serving time after he pleaded guilty to felony charges in the february 2014 train collision that killed camera assistant sara

back in 2004, al sharpton hosted "s.n.l.," so rival candidate and leaking bean bag chair joe lieberman got nbc to cough up 28 minutes, which he used to broadcast reruns of a lieberman town hall meeting. ugh, don't you hate it when you curl up to watch a lieberman town hall meeting and it's a rerun? ( laughter ) it all worked out great for lieberman, who famously went on to become our nation's 43rd not- president. and it's not just nbc-- the equal time rule applies to all tv broadcasts, which is a problem for me because, as long- time viewers of this show know, it is a tv show. so we checked with our network's lawyers, and this is absolutely true-- it turns out there are guidelines i can use to protect myself. the first thing i learned is that, according to the f.c.c., equal time applies only to in a "positive" light. it's like the old saying-- "if you can't say anything nice, you're good."
