"action news" reporter katherine scott is live from einstein hospital where the officer is right now with the very latest on this breaking news story this morning. hi, katherine. >> reporter: hi, sharrie. i want to start by saying the officer is in stable condition at the hospital. he's from the 15th district, he's a 14 year veteran of the philadelphia police department, he's married. he has a three week old child and his family was here at the hospital with him. as for the suspect, he was pronounced dead earlier this morning and this gun was recovered at the scene. this all happened around 12:45 this morning. the officer and his partner respond d to a radio call for a man with a gun on the 6400 block of ditman street in tacony. they were on the
