here's our political specialist shaun boyd with our friday reality check. >> cbs4 analyst, democrat and republican with me. another wild day in a wild election. how bad is this new fbi probe? penfield? it's very odd. number one, the fbi sent a letter to congress, and congress is not in session until after the election, number one. number two, they simply indicated there were viewing -- they're reviewing e-mails that they found as part of the anthony weiner investigation, which deals with the whole sexting situation with the 15- year-old in north carolina. and so it's difficult to determine. i don't know if the fbi is trying to insulate themselves from the criticism they took before in terms of how they handled the vehicle, or if raised an alarm and said, we ought to look at all of these. we just don't have enough context to really make a conclusion. >> no question, though, it's bad news for her. >> oh, it's not good. i would say any headline with e- mail, fbi and clinton is not going to be good news. >> so there has been some good economic news out, dick. the economy is growing at 2.9%.

that is where our shaun boyd is now cover -- shawn chitness is covering the story. let's get the details. >> reporter: we're learning from denver police in a tweet that they can tell us six people total involved. both cars about to be towed away from this scene. we expect they are going to be able to open up this area shortly. this started with that shooting in the lodo area, likely outside of a bar. someone from that shooting who was injured got into the suv that rolled over. it's a chevy. they were heading south on kalamath when they ran a red light, crashed into the other people inside, and we know they had to remove the door and extricate one of them. the one person who was in the other car, the nissan, also taken to the hospital. again, six people in all injured. two we now know with serious injuries. denver police working with the fire department to clear this scene. again, they are making some progress about to remove both of those vehicles and hopefully open up this intersection soon. we'll remain on scene. we're also going to check back in with denver polic
