shawn has been live all morning as police investigate. it's chilling to think that over the hill people were celebrating while a murder investigation was getting started. >> reporter: reed, absolutely. it is now being investigated as a homicide. we know that from san francisco police. of course this is right by the park but not by one of the entrances where people were heading in to the festival on its final day. san francisco police telling us they got the call around 7:30 last night and they had officers from the richmond station come to this part of the park to investigate the area. when they arrived a witness told them they saw a woman unresponsive and that's why the witness called 911. this is by fulton and 22nd. video shows officers bringing a canopy to the area and closing off the scene. all of this is happening as outside lands was wrapping up its third and final night. you could still hear performers while officers were trying to close the scene. because police are early in the investigation, they are asking for the public's help
