shawn kennedy, transit planning manager here at the mta. are you getting a bounce back? so i'm doing a very quick overview of what we are going to talk about because i want to set the stage a little bit and then turn it over to steve who will walk through the specifics. first off, i wanted to start noting that mtc coordinates short range transit plans throughout the agency in the region every two years. the last 2020, we did not have an srtp upped due to -- update due to covid. they are hoping to use these srtp's as way to advocate for more state and federal funding for transit operations which is great news, but in order to do that, they wanted and apples to apples comparison among all the agencies in the region. they provided us three scenarios and steve is going to walk through those scenarios. i just wanted to note that these are mtc's numbers. we are still on track to do what we talked about several meetings ago which is to implement 122 service changes within the next 12 months and starting a robust outreach after that to look at what the future vision, what the fu

we preview the 45th kennedy center honors and we have team coverage on the impacts that we are seeing on this first alert weather day. shawn chitnis is in san jose. first, we start with meteorologist jessica burch. >> let's talk about how active the system is. we are taking a live look at the first alert doppler, where that major atmospheric river has pushed its way into the bay area. this will be the case all morning long as heavy downpours -- as well as the heavy winds come up to 45 miles an hour at times. let's zoom into the local area, starting off with the north bay. currently, this is where the heavier pockets of rain are accumulating. this is a system that is pushing to the southeast. keep that in mind if you live closer to antioch. here is a lighter rain in certain spots in the south bay, but -- we are seeing some of the heavier cells. this is a quick moving system. hour by hour, things are changing into the sacramento valley . taking a look at the futurecast, starting off around 9:30 or 10:00. those heavier storms are still pushing their way into the north bay and the east bay. it tapers off around 11:00 where the
