welcome back at 10. 30 i'm jim lokay and i'm shawn yancy, what better way to celebrate fourth of july than on the national mall. there were thousands upon thousands of people here earlier but the crowds disbursed very quickly after the fireworks. than around at this point. we'll give you a look at the show. it was absolutely great. things went off without a hitch. there was some questions about what the weather might do, but it stay nice and dry tonight. also going on the capital fourth concert performers by the beach boys, trace add skins, the blues brothers, john stamos. what better way to celebrate our nation's 241st t birthday. back to you. we have good news for anyone out late celebrating the fourth of july. don't take metro, it's going to stay open 30 minutes. space is limited. keep the large bikes off the trains. nearly 350,000 people were sworn in as us citizens as 65,000 gatherings around the country. they took it at national parks and mu selling fireworks ups one was actually at mount chill oh, the founding jefferson. we did have some rain out there early on tonight. now you

i'm shawn yancy. >> and i'm tony perkins. a speed camera will be watching for you starting today. the camera is on 495 in prince george's county near the suitland road bridge. lindsay watts is live there now. lindsay? >> reporter: if what we've seen tonight is any indication, there are going to be a lot of tickets from these speed cameras. the speed limit here is 55 miles per hour and the cameras only get you if you're going 12 over or more. you can camera how fast passing vehicles are traveling. no speeders at this time but we have seen a lot of them. expect to see this on this section of the beltway for the next three years while the suitland road bridge replacement project is under way. there's some flashes for you. we'll show you some video from earlier tonight. a flash of the camera comes with a $40 ticket in the mail. it's 12 over the speed limit or higher. since the system is new here on the beltway there is a grace period from now through august 6th. come august 7th, if you see the flash, be ready to pay up. during the course of the suitland road bridge replacement project
