we introduced you just a few weeks ago to shawnee singletary. was at a traffic light when another car pulled up and a man shot her. she was paralyzed from the neck down. now she's been moved to a spinal rehab facility in baltimore. friends and family members will host a fundraiser for her this sunday july 15th at the living well art studio. that's at 2443 north charles street. that fundraiser will run from 7:00 that night until 10:00. >>> in education news this morning, the school assessment results are in and overall our students are doing pretty well. it shows elementary school students reading and math scores rose slightly from the past year. middle school students have had mixed results. their reading rate dropped, but their math scores have improved. city school student ds better in math than reading, but their overall scores still lag behind maryland. the school's ceos say it's something parents can help change. >> parents need to go to the schools, they need to understand how the schools perform. >> hope new construction at city schools w
