this is from shawnee which is seeing more sun than delaware and south jersey. see the clouds are clearing out of new castle camden county getting sunshine there. high pressure is moving in. that will push clouds out of here and give us sunny skies as we head into the new year. clear skies leads to colder temperatures. we will see that over the next couple of days. by tomorrow afternoon, we will see temperatures only in the middle 30s. a little chillier than today. the wind will be stronger tomorrow. so the winds will be a factor. when we ring in the new year midnight temperatures in the 20s to right around 30 degrees in the philadelphia area. the wind will be blowing. it will feel like it's in the low 20s at midnight. then it gets colder into thursday morning. we will see lower 20s to begin with and 30s in the afternoon. cold to take us into the new year. clouds and sunshine this afternoon with winds out of the northwest eight to 12 miles an hour. temperatures will get close to the 40 degree mark, but probably won't reach it today and certainly won't tomorrow.
