biden later this week will be meeting with this group of republican senators on infrastructure led by shelley moore capito. based on your experience in the senate and the attempts to do things in a bipartisan way, how genuine do you think this public outreach is. and if it were up to you, how long would you any goern yat would it be to do it in a bipartisan way. you look at when president biden came up with a plan. they came in and offered $600 billion. that wasn't really serious. so they had to go to reconciliation and pass that. america is one infrastructure. trump campaigned on a trillion dollar infrastructure package and didn't do anything. this is something we need to do for all kinds of reasons, to address climate, of course, but also we need modern 21st century infrastructure if we're going compete. it provides an enormous number of jobs. 80% of those jobs are for those. americans want this. we'll see what-mile-an-hours come back with. but thus far we haven't really seen them responding in any way that gives you confidence they'll going to be part of it. >> you're watching in the house
