that's what a shenandoah company is doing. eaton corporation is eliminating 250 positions as part of a manufacturing strategy change. the cuts will happen gradually over the next several months. that will leave only 85 employees at the facility. the news comes on the heels of 71 layoffs in december. an ankeny company hopes it's resolved a rather smelly situation... the iowa association of municipal utilities in ankeny says one of its tanks holding "odorant" cracked overnight.
