rain south and east of there. 10:00 p.m., it's in to the shenandoah valley that. and then morning commute on tuesday, that's when we'll likely to have the accumulating snow. this is as of 8:00 a.m. on tuesday, the green zone is rain. by noon, a lot of it starts for move off north and east. but maybe a few lingers snow showers early evening hours. leaving 1 to 3 inches metro area, nearby suburbs. and a little farther north, northern montgomery county, loudoun, into the northern shenandoah valley, panhandle of west virginia, that's where some of the higher amounts may be, 3 to 5 inches there. looks like a wet snow. so maybe kind of slushy. some accumulations may cause some delays. and some cancellations on tuesday morning. monday before that arrives, should be in the low to mid-40s. so much of the pavement should be above freezing so when the snow officially fall, it will just be slushy on the pavement by dawn on tuesday. but then may pile up a bit on untreated surfaces and grassy areas. we'll be in the mid-30s tuesday afternoon. it all freezes up on wednesday morni
