naacp is calling on oakland mayor sheng thao to release the names of the finalists for the police chief. in a letter, the organization is demanding the mayor to reinstate former police chief leronne armstrong. >> and cher, who the oakland police commission is recommending to lead the city's police department. mayor thao can select from the finalists or ask the police commission to give her a new list. oakland has been without a chief sense. the mayor fired armstrong back in february in october. the police commission said armstrong was actually among the 7 kind 7 finalists that they have possibly recommended. mayor thao said that she would likely appoint a new police chief by the end of the year. police are right now asking for some help in identifying this woman who is connected to cereal retail theft in coma. officers say this woman stole more than $8,000 worth of merchandise from a store on coleman boulevard last week. this comes after she's accused of stealing $7,000 worth of merchandise and to other thefts, she was spotted driving away in a a white toyota and a white ally from these
