. >> now, "shepard smith reporting," live from the fox news deck. >> first from the fox news deck this monday afternoon, one-time front-runner following behind in the g.o.p. pack and today scott whacker is working the iowa state fair, trying to recapture his momentum. walker's fall is but one of the big changes we're seeing in the latest fox news poll. the first fox news survey since the g.o.p. debate. it shows walker is 6% among republican voters. his lowest number in more than a year. some earlier surveys showed walker in double digits. same with jeb bush, now down to 9%. the republican one-time front-runner, 9%. the lowest this bush has polled since well back in april. at the top, of course, donald trump, still leading by a wide margin. ben carson is a distant second at 12%. a huge jump from before the debate. neither of the top polling candidates have ever held public office. donald trump showed up for jury duty in new york city. that was a weird thing. his arrival was an event unto itself. but i -- shepard smith. but i wanted to begin and just set a stage for the tenth anniversary.it's history now, katrina. although people in the gulf south are still living katrina. you know, we talk about the dust bowl budget just an event of one day -- wasn't just an event of one day, it was an entire decade affecting a region. and katrina is one word, but it means, you know, a whole important to part of our country trying to come back from not just the hurricane, but from the manmade disaster of the shoddy levees and other problems that the katrina story points to; racism, poor school systems, crime, economic disparity. so it's, it's a very fertile field for, of looking at america today when you talk about hurricane katrina. just not history. now, when the storm came, i was a professor at tulane university, and i had evacuated the year before. and i made the dumbest decision of hi life to stay -- my life to stay, because i didn't want to be in gridlock traffic on i-10. i did that before, and i can't stand traffic. i'm very hyperactive, and just sitting there like that. and my
