my father gave me an additional of sir author, and the greatest adventures of sherlock holmes. i still have that book i was about 12. and he said let me know when you get through reading this. if you haven't seen it in a while, try it. it was a challenge. those pages are still grade and turned and dogeared as i remembered the years of living vicariously through the great author, sherlock holmes. course, mississippi has a few as we're talking early on i remember as a young man at jackson seen rap dining at the mayflower some of the local restaurants in part of the jackson community. trying to make sure we did not interrupt her lunch. but in all this great literature giant has set just across the room. i've been to william faulkner's home growing up. we could have a good time in oxford but oh could he write. greg and all of those new that were here, john gershon and the list goes on.ebrate so we celebrate the fact that we have great writers that just important to me that we have great readers. when i came into office 48% of third-graders were reading at a third-grade level. start
