i'm sherry williams with one treasure island. we provided thousands of formerly homeless and low-income san franciscoians as part of the reuse of treasure island. i have been involved with the planning and the implementation of work on treasure island for over 24 years. and as bob noted the marina was part of the development plan since 1996. and so it's very exciting to see both the sailing center and the marina being considered today and we would strongly urge your support for both of these items. and the sailing center is obviously an awesome program providing incredible services. but i want to give a shoutout to the marina for the last intervening 20 years since they were selected and they have shown their commitment to an inclusive vision for treasure island and hiring folks who provide job training for, frankly, homeless and disabled individuals and supporting numerous community activities that help low-income residents on treasure island. so i thank you for hearing my remarks and urge support of both of these measures today

william barr was in for a grilling this week, but right now, looks like he may be a no- show for what was looking like an explosive appearance before the house does sherry of justice is the house democrats wanted staff attorneys, not just members of congress, to question him about the robert mueller report into russian election interference. they say the attorney general said to a here before congress, therefore members of congress are the ones questioning. he remains happy to engage with members on the questions regarding the mueller report. democrats may respond with a subpoena, upping tension between congress and the white house. >> put all of their hopes behind their collusion delusion. >> with it looking like a dead- end, democrats of pursuing the obstruction angle. accusing the president of interfering with the mueller investigation. >> i personally prosecuted obstruction cases are far less evidence in this. i believe that if you were not the president of the united states, he would likely be indicted on obstruction. >> i cannot think of one thing that president trump did to stop mueller from doing his job. he never claimed executive privilege. fo

is cofounder and director of the mississippi center for investigative reporting. >> sherry williams is assistant professor at the american university school of communication. dr. williams has a masters degree and phd from the syracuse university newhouse school of public communications and a degree in english with a concentration in journalism from jackson state university and mississippi. interestingly, she also worked for a few years at the clarion ledger news paper in jackson mississippi. as a professor and media professor her work focuses on marginalized groups, women of color and how they're portrayed in the media. she is now leading us that he that explores how black millennial's are affected by seeing images of fatal police brutality against black people in social media. without further ado, jerry mitchell will now talk and show some photos about his remarkable civil-rights reporting these past three decades, after that dr. sherry williams will ask him about his important courageous reporting and then we will open it up for sessions from the audience. >> so, you're on. thanks.
