shery: yeah. and this of course coming at a time when china faces its own issues in the property sector, right? and we continue to talk about evergrande and now we're talking about this other property developer, fantasia that missed a $200 million payment of bonds. it's one of those niche developers with that mix of revenue from property development and also income from property management. they're unlikely to pose any systemic risk given their small weighting in benchmarks. but as we're watching closely what happens to evergrande, the company and its property services arm was halted in hong kong trading yesterday. so we'll be watching that closely today. we have heard that they were going to sell a controlling stake in order to get some liquidity relief. haidi: yeah. just watching out for further cracks when it comes to the property sector as we continue to see bonds within the property space in china take a blow. but as you said, not much of this systemic risk from this latest development but th

shery: you mentioned inflation.uch of a price hike of the materials prices is going to impact consumers? have us a sense of whether consumers will have to pay more for your toys? >> we already put our pricing action and plate. -- in play. this is part of our third-quarter results. we haven't seen impact on consumer behavior and demand. i can tell you when we raise prices, we always have the consumer in mind and we always make sure that it is thoughtful and we balance quality and value for consumers. paul: that was the mattel chairman and ceo. thank you for joining us. southwest airlines posted a third-quarter loss. narrower than analysts expected. the chairman and ceo spoke to bloomberg about the airlines recovery. >> we are still working our way out of this pandemic. we are beyond the survival stage and into the stabilizing phase. it is a matter of getting our staffing aligned well with flight activity and customer activity. it has been a sharp improvement in demand and travel and revenues. the delta variant surge

shery: breaking news. security times that evergrande has paid the bond interest due september 20 third of $83.5 million. they had missed that payment, they were heading toward the expiration date of the 30 day grace period if they had not paid and we would have seen evergrande actually defaulting. security times saying evergrande has paid that $83.5 million in bond interest due september 23. these would be the 8.25% notes. they have been trading around $.22 on the dollar. the grace period was expiring saturday. now we are hearing from the security times that they have gone ahead and made those a bond interest payment. this of course as we saw that those talks ended trying to evade liquidity and sell their property management arm, so perhaps relief for the company and bondholders. paul: that is a crucial development and should stop a cascade of other claims from happening, an important deadline met. we will have more important analysis in the moment. we will hear from real estate capital advisory firm hodes
