sheryl: absolutely. targeted ads model is so important for people to understand, and i don't think we have done a good job at this. if i want to show an ad to , let's say, middle-aged women -- i am definitely that, i just turned 50 -- middle-aged women in northern california, we take the ad, show it to me and all the people my age and gender, and we get that aggregate statistic. the ability to do targeted advertising allows businesses to reach audiences they otherwise would not have reached. really important because the big companies can afford to buy ads to all of california, but others can't. more than half of job growth in this country comes from small business. this is how it is happening in these online platforms. caroline: how are you thinking about those that you are responsible for? you talk quite passionately about business owners as unique. you also have to balance the wills and wants of the investor base, and also your user base. i feel this has become the focus point of 2019 because of shock
