host: shira center, do you want to take a take on this? guest: one of the most undercover themes of the obama presidency was his relationship with congress and just how bad it was. part of that is because he was just in the senate for a few years before he went to the oval office. he did not have the basis for relationships as his number two, joe biden, did. that's what you have seen so may times that obama would try to make a deal, and that he would send it joe biden to work out the details. hillary clinton is different. she did serve a full term plus. also, her family has been so ingrained in democratic politics for the past several years that she has built relationships and the clinton's have fun race for so many senators and politics. it would be a very different relationship between a democratic president and a republican congress and the one we have seen for the last six years. host: shira center joining us from the "boston globe" newsroom there and boston. let's head to not far away in new bedford, massachusetts where crystal is wai

. >> shira center what has been the clinton camp response to comments like that and discussion about hillary clinton's record? >> yeah, well they've first of all mentioned her breadth of experience. her time in the united states senate as a united states senator from new york they also mention her time as secretary of state. they call her one of the most qualified candidates to ever run for president. i'm sure the caller who just called in would not agree with that assessment. in terms of her accomplishments as secretary of state, they talk about a lot of her work with women and girls, start small businesses across the globe. i also think some of her work in southeast asia as well, something they time-out as an accomplishment as well, increasing stabilization across certain parts of that region. those are some things we might talk about on the campaign trail. but presidential campaigns on the whole aren't necessarily candidates who talk about accomplishments. they do talk about their vision for the future. why that want to be president. and also it will be interesting when just the n

again as you say shira i am a member for a minority religion and i grew up as a minority in an area that didn't have a lot of jewish people and so i understand what it means in terms of the sensitivities or if you're in a situation cap or religious service like the school you attend at all of a sudden you are the odd one out. and again but we as a country have come a long way. we are not perfect and certainly we are built on this notion that you have the ability to practice your religion and there's no imposition of a state religion that we also have a country that protects people's rights. the question at the heart of this debate of the indiana rfra law which some would say tracks pretty closely and i have not read the law to see if it tracks closely to what clinton has signed in 20 other states have. i think some would say its license to allow people to discriminate based on their sexual preference and i think that that's wrong. you should not allow it. i can't say that law is or isn't. i think the evidence is in the courts. what if the courts done to say that there is a law in place t
