executive director shireen mcspadden presented. and diane lawrence, who will or has presented on the aaa council. so i will not repeat that. she also will present later on the joint legislative committee, so i won't go over that either. we had site visits as part of our task to visit nutrition programs and other programs for the departments and reported on a visit to two restaurants, who are part of the champs program. the champs program permits restaurants and other vendors to prepare meals that are approved by the department on aging. so they presented what sounded like a delicious meal to the green bamboo restaurant. and then patty spanyak presented on another champs' program. there was some discussion, more pertaining to the internal working of the advisory council, what are our responsibilities with meal sites. we'll discuss that later. we had lgbt updates. we stand with seniors for input from the lgbt community's perspective and the means to address the needs. there was a brief discussion of setting up a nominated committee f
