i am shirlee moore and here from the candlestick neighborhood community and we have been busy. been working on candlestick park stadium and we're moving on and trying to mitigate the dust but we're here about the landscaping in gilman park. we're concerned about the landscaping and the developers only including gilman. we have gilman park that is there in need of repair and need of some attention. we are in talks with the liin regard developers, their senior project manager of the landscape team and working with the rec and park to bring gilman park along in the landscape development, and to perhaps do some upgrades in the park because we know that there was an award given to upgrade the playground equipment but there wasn't any money to improve the park so there is an old bathroom structure that is on the park grounds that has been there over 20 years and it's in badly need of repair. we would like to see the developers throw in and help rehab that facility so that the public can have that to use as a bathroom. we would also like to see them expand up on their landscape offeri

good things happening in the neighborhood are shutting out what already exists but raise it up so shirlee has given you a map and you can see holes there. there are pieces of jamestown developed and pieces that will be developed and some empty holes; right? there is the gilman park and other places there that is grayed out. nothing is going to happen and we just want to have everybody on the same page working together to make everything contiguous and beautiful and this is the neighborhood that we all live in together, so -- yeah, what we're looking for is very straightforward and working with you guys, with rec and park, with dpw, with lenar and residents of the neighborhood to make sure what is happening there is good for all of us. thank you. >> thank you. >> next speaker please. >> thank you. >> commissioners good morning. i am here to ask you to take down the signs that the department has installed around town and i hope to give you a few good reasons for doing that. first trails. about seven years ago a sign was in mclaren park and cited the code and says you must obey the sign and

my name is shirlee and also a youth leader from ccdc. as many of our youth leaders have said we think that school bus routes are important, especially to those low income and transit dependent students who take the bus to school everyday and may be limited to the opportunity to go to the school of their choice. for many immigrant low income families many of the parents might not have the time to take their kids to school because they have to work for long hours so they might not have the time to drive them to school in the morning. if these students attend school that far away from their neighborhoods it would require them long commute hours and probably multiple bus transfers to get to school especially in the southeast neighborhood such as the bay view district or the visitacion valley and there are less schools for them to choose. also as one of the youth leaders have previously stated managing to get to school on time early is also an important and difficult task to do because of some of the inaccuracy of the bus arrival times. for e
