marc siegel joins us with his reaction. good to see you. good morning, sir.ne? >> well, martha, that's exactly what the advisory committee of the fda was asking and answered it 17-0 thumbs up. i know a number of the people on that committee and admire them. their thumbs up is good enough to me. there is a variance within the committee what it means. the cdc will take this up this week. dr. cody meissner, the head of pediatric disease he voted thumbs up because he wants high-risk kids to get this. kids who are obese or kids with diabetes and chronic conditions. we've had 8600 hospitalizations among the 5 to 11 group in the united states. the vast majority of kids get a very mild case. but we can figure out who is more at risk for a higher risk for a severe case and he wants all of those kids to get vaccinated. i think he is right. i think that if you roll it out in that direction first you build up more and more safety data that's going to show that this is a very safe vaccine for the 5 to 11 group in millions of kids and then everybody should get it. one more
