i'm not going to go into heavy detail, i want to take you down here into the sierra madre. i was following routes all over for the house of rain, trying to figure out where the anastazi went when they left house of rain. many of them made the modern pueblos but other groups continued south. i followed pottery trails down into the sierra madre where my wife and two others went out and we came to these cliff dwellings. it seemed like every single cave we looked into had cliff dwellings. and this wasn't a place with trails. this wasn't a known location. many of these sites were pristine. they were just -- it looked as if people had just left suddenly, just like all the stories in here. little cliff dwellings, little granaries, little sites falling apart. larger sites. this site went actually 5 layers deep into this cave. very particular to this region were these shaped storage rooms. this one is about 10 feet high. often they would have door stones sealing them on the top. and they were of all kinds of shapes and sizes, but they specific to that area. that's the smallest one w

one of them is a fungus, sweeping through california in the high sierra. it has obliterated population of -- populations of the yellow legged frog. what we are doing is collaborating with the scientists, one of the premier scientists, and we're working with him and his population of frogs that were taken out of a while before this fungus swept through, and these are the only remaining species from this population. we will work on a breeding and release program, and we'll be taking the frogs into the high sierra and releasing them. this is a unique collaboration with san francisco state. and we have a working with the san francisco garter snake, one of the most beautiful snakes, only found along the coast here in northern california. we're working with california state to continue moving the conversation about this important species. and a new and exciting program, we were approached by u.s. fish and wildlife and national park service to help them with the management of california condors. there would like to use our veterinary expertise to help with the an

southern california over the sierra, fog is a main issue but you can see clouds developing if you look off towards the east you can see them popping up in the afternoon. a scattered shower or two and for us, forecast models say we will be warmer but it is north winded in san jose. there is still a decent delta breeze so i am having a hard time buying into it. the fog is not as extensive. it tells you temperatures are cooler some upper 50s and lower 60s and another system is spinning into the pacific northwest. maybe a slight warmup inland and it will not last long but it might be only 3 or 4 degrees and it will come back down tomorrow. areas in the coast some fog a little warmer but minor changes here. it looks cooler, some days are quiet, low clouds, inland just a little bit, wee bit morning fog there will be sun on the coast yesterday. pilaf, santa cruz coast, it looks like a little better conditions today, no big changes and it does look cooler as that system moves into the north. we will slide into a very quiet pattern though. >>> coming up, three bay area firefighters will leave o
