. >>> the fbi now working to find missing sierra lamar. today they focused on the house where she lives, but they are expected to branch out tomorrow. investigators looked everywhere they could today. and tomorrow, their search will cover a bigger area. we are live in morgan hill with today's discoveries. >> reporter: well, investigators focused their search right here at this home behind me. 15 year-old sierra lamar's home. they wrapped up at about 9:30. the santa clara county sheriff's department says they will return in the morning to do a large scale search. the fbi and plain-clothes investigators spent much of friday in and around sierra's house. they searched inside and did a grid line search outside. fbi agents walking arms-length apart and looking for any clue to sierra's disappearance. why they were focussing on the house, we don't know. investigators wouldn't say. perhaps they were trying to retrace her steps. even after days of searching, authorities say they still don't know what happened to sierra. sierra's mother tells us the

high and low for sierra lamar, missing since last friday. they've interviewed more than 100 people from bus drivers to field workers to transients focusing here in sierra's neighborhood just north of morgan hill. they've talked with hundreds of sierra's former and current classmates. detectives have interviewed and reinterviewed sierra's neighbors. all registered sex offenders within a 10-mile radius of her home have been contacted to verify their wrbts at the time she -- whereabouts to see where they were when she went missing. forensic analysis on her cellphone found in this field last weekend have not revealed anything. the phone and sierra's laptop computer are now undergoing more latent print analysis at the county's crime lab. hundreds of missing person fliers are going up all over the south county region helping to generate at least 150 tips to the sheriff's department with possible sierra sightings. at least 75 deputies are on this case and they are following up on every single one of those leads. >>> san francisco 's transit agency

"today in the bay" live in morgan hill where he spoke with sierra's mother. bob, good morning. >> yeah, and her biological father. good morning to you, john, we're just outside the lamar home here in morgan hill where they just did a live interview on the "today" show trying to get the word out, trying to get anything out there to help find their 15-year-old daughter sierra lamar. and a little new bit of information coming out from the interview we just had with marlene lamar. you know, there's been questions about whether or not sierra lamar was wearing those clothes that had been found in the field last sunday. that was new information released yesterday by the sheriff's office. well, her mother tells us this morning that she believes that sierra lamar was wearing a sharks jersey when she left home because they found a picture of her wearing it on her home computer and they tell us it's not unusual for her before she went to school to take pictures of herself with what she was wearing and leaving it on the home computer and she believes that's the same jers

first of all we learned investigators found sierra's purse.e days ago but are only telling the public about it now. they found her purse alongside the road about two miles from her house and inside that purse they found neatly folded clothing. you can see we are here at the command center in morgan hill. there are still people inside this sheriffs trailer. you can see some of them coming out now and we also revealed that sierra sent a text message around 7:15 to a friend on the day she disappeared and now let's take a look at some video. this is new video that i just took this evening of the search that was going on. it was an all day search effort, fbi, volunteers, the sheriff had dogs out here and this evening they really focused on the street that sierra lives on. all of the investigators descending on that street. they went door to door to each of her neighbors homes going in the backyards, going in the garages and doing a whole thorough check of that area although they have been through that area before, but still no sign of sierra and sh
