the second phase in the sierra foothills area started and is ongoing over the next couple of hours. also was part of our second phase we are continuing to monitor whether in the east bay, south bay and santa cruz areas and we will be making a decision about the timing later this evening because what has changed from the discussion we had yesterday is that there is a shift in the timing of the weather pattern. we may be able to delay the start time. additionally there were some questions about the impact of some of our mass transit infrastructure yesterday regarding the call the cot tunnel. we were able to provide backup generation and that is currently in place serving the tunnel. that should not be impacted as a result. in addition to that we were able to mitigate in the half moon bay area we were able to reconfigure the supply to that tunnel and mitigate the impact we have also provided backup generation to two of our bart stations so that we minimize any potential impact to bart service as part of our process. in total the second phase of the shut off impacts approximately 250,00
