it comes to how climate change is changing california in unprecedented ways, the snowpack in the sierra is probably the biggest canary in the coal mine and we saw the most romantic changes happening here than anywhere else even in the reservoirs and here's a quick explanation on why the last three weeks has set records in terms of concerning loss and that is what we look like from space today and you can see it looks pretty good in this is what we looked like back on april 1 and not a lot of difference although the state was more green than. but what you have to look at is how much water is being stored in the snowpack. we did have some good news on april 1 when we did the big snow survey of the year and on average the central sierra was at 63% of what should have for the water it was storing in the snowpack. today's that 37% and you think it makes sense it should go down but no. it was 63% of average for april 1 and we should still be close to that on april 21. we are talking about what the average content is for today's date and that is the dramatic change in this is what is really th
