see the thunderstorms begin to pop up over the sierra nevada. that is all part of that monsoon.have just watching this as these fires continue to burn so far there's been mainly a southwesterly wind which kicks the smoke mainly to the northeast. but that's changed a bit. and as these past pressure pattern change, especially as we head to closer and closer to fault. these fires continue to burn. they're likely to bring some more smoke back into the bay area. here's our latest smoke model and you'll notice as we head through time here right now. most that smoke located in far northern california and up over the sierra nevada and then as we take you through the night tonight. you start to see you see a little further to the south. you get that little northerly component to the wind. there you go. maybe seeing some of that haze especially in parts of the north bay by tomorrow of the day in the afternoon could see some of that work its way back in our direction. but the good news is again, this is going to stay aloft and was like going to an air quality issue, but it will turn skies.

lot of that wildfire smoke has been concentrated up in the sierra nevada itself and pushed out to the north and east. in fact, yesterday lake tahoe had the worst air quality in north due in part to those fires burning up there in the sierra nevada. we're sitting right now in the bay area. certainly nothing close to that. what you are seeing out there as far as gray is concerned, is low gray associated with marine layer, which is push to undo those do this westerly winds and much like the past couple of days. we're going to be off to a fairly gray start this morning. you can see the worst of air quality to our north and east bay area still faring very well as far as very bay. as far as air quality is concerned, that's something we can expect for. one more day because as we move into tomorrow, we've got some big changes, a breakdown for you here in just a second as of this morning. all of us across the region are in the green. you can see that we do have a little patch of yellow and just the very, very for this eastern reaches of alameda county. well past the tri valley. now we do have

monday morning through tuesday night in the mountains here, so this is a very bad scenario for the sierra nevada into monday and tuesday. there is a look at the fog. 58 in san francisco. 59 mountain view. a chilly 57. this is kingsbury in nevada where you can see the smoke. no relief here for the folks. absolutely horrible air quality. the a qi up to about 500. 62 by the delta. it is still warm, and temperatures well into the 90's. look at the north bay, where numbers are in the low 50's. low clouds and fog. you can still see some of that haze. a day of transition as we have hazy skies inland and hot conditions. air quality improves around the coast. the wind picks out that is going to make for erratic conditions, the upper elevations locally and into the sierra nevada. look at that fog, pulls back to the coast. then it comes right back in and gets swept away monday afternoon. still looking at some haze up in the north bay on monday. the most part, we are going in the right direction. the blue, that is the better air quality. you can see the lighter green, there is still haze around evenn some s
