the sierra foothills and then up into the sierra nevada. that's where your best chance of snowfall is already seeing some of that up in air this morning. you knew what the golden gate bridge right now is clear enough. any sort of cloud cover. we have a sitting above the bay. we do have some dense valley fog in spots but it's just the opposite of a coastal fog, rather, it's our inland valleys that will be looking at the potential of some fog this morning, which will certainly be keeping an eye on. where are we at with rainfall right now, what we do have some showers sitting just southeast of santa cruz as well as into far eastern portions of contra, costa and alameda counties. really us here in the bay area we're dry compared to our neighbors out towards the central valley. the sierra foothills and then elsewhere across the state. we've also seen some energy resurging that includes southern california, the eastern deserts and especially the sierra nevada today. going to be an active one with snowfall falling at those higher elevations of ver

some pretty widespread snowfall up in the sierra nevada. let's get a look at where we're sitting right now. we saw our first snowfall of the season up in the upper elevations of lake trinity and mendocino counties here in the bay area. not our first rainfall of the season. but one of the most significant yet so far 92 right across the bay and even the dumbarton bridge, both still wet after having seen spotty overnight showers that do still remain fremont's on up to union city even portions of hayward. and as you cross on over towards the tri valley. some wet spots on roadways there. and some of those upper elevations in the east bay hill. so watch out for some slick spots. there. also on the peninsula, mostly isolated to the santa cruz mountains but still some to talk about along to 82 are some areas of showers right around woodside los gatos on up into los altos hills as well. highway 35 skyline drive. all of these areas currently looking at some light showers and that's a little bit on the wet side and a little bit on the slick side, too.

now sitting in the sierra nevada foothills as well as the central valley. of moisture now working its way through the bay area. northern sonoma county. you are in the clear. now you have worked your way out of the second line of showers that i'm early spelling out for you right there in that blue arrow. let's zoom in on the core of the bay. and this is one of those spots that we are seeing some very heavy rainfall at times that includes right around oakland right now alameda as well as on up the richmond center fell the showers continue to move eastward. you can see that movement a radar there just a second ago. san mateo. it's pick back up for you. we cite quiet low, which you can see also evidence out here towards san ramon down to fremont in palo alto right now. but this is the resurgence of that second wave of heavy rainfall that's now made its way right into oakland down to san leandro. so please be careful in these spots. 92 it's about to pick up for you. san mateo on up through sfo and then up across the golden gate bridge into marion county. it's st
