this weekend marks two years since the disappearance of missing morgan hill teen sierra lamar. sunday will mark two years since the then 15-year-old headed to school and vanished without a trace. last year friends and family released red and white balloons to honor the missing teen. the sheriff's office think she was killed. evidence was found linking her disappearance to a morgan hill man garcia torres. two months after she disappeared the sheriff's office arrested garcia torres. after court delays it was only last month that he finally pleaded not guilty to lamar's kidnapping and murder. coming up at 5:00 a.m., bob will be live talking to the private investigators the lamar family hired to look into sierra's disappearance. >> this morning pg&e crews are in san carlos to begin repairs and warn people in the area about the work. crews were supposed to start about 2:00 this morning on a transmission line along highway 101 but got behind schedule. they say they need to enter the gas line in the area of commercial and old country road, county road rather, christie smith joining us

this will be a snow producer up in sierra.a scene at sugar bowl and another winter storm warning to talk about for tomorrow. this begins 2:00 monday till 11:00 tuesday. we could have low snow levels down around 3000 feet. that's on interstate 80. dropping snow levels in the sierras as well. we're shog you this, starting out with clouds and a chance of scattered showers in the morning. by 1:00 the rainfall increases in coverage and to the south at 3:00. there are possible thunderstorms moving across the bay area. in the afternoon achance of a break around oakland. more thunderstorms possible by monday night and into tuesday. tomorrow, mainly in the upper 50s to around 60 degrees. the cool down continues for monday and tuesday, big weather headline, thunderstorm chances, low snow levels, chance of a lingering shower on wednesday. weekend in view, probably a sun cloud mix. tomorrow afternoon, be careful on the roadways because the rain could be intense. >> a's fans, bring an umbrella. >> and maybe a plunger. >>> march madness tur

but it's the sierra that will see the most out of the system. we're talking 3 feet of snow coming down between tomorrow through the night on saturday. 1 to 3 feet of snow. wind gusts 40 to 60 miles per hour. and chain controls obviously going up. right now winter storm watch but that's just a play on words. that will be upgraded to a warning very likely during the day tomorrow. that's good news there in the sierra as we go through the weekend. you see these totals adding up along interstate 80 and highway 50. it does look like some of these peaks may get close to 36 inches of snow. that's the good news. snowpack recovery for parts of the sierra was ego through the weekend. tomorrow, low 70s in san jose. we may stay rain-free for areas south of san francisco through the day tomorrow but closer to san francisco you'll see more clouds and certainly the better chance to see rain for the north bay during the day friday. then the rain line slips to the south as we head through the evening so plan on a rainy start to the evening. slight risk of thunder

. >>> the final sierra snow pack of the season is set for next tuesday. the department of water resources says the recent rain and snow is not expected to have much of an effect in our state's severe drought. snow and rain measurements remain below normal for this time of year. 20% comes from the run off of melting snow in the sierra. they're getting snow in the sierra tomorrow. a lot of people are heading up to ski and snow board. for those of us staying local in the area. >> we have pretty heavy rain to talk about first thing tomorrow morning. right now we have clouds out there. the rain pretty much all day has been to the north of the bay area. a few showers up in sonoma county that will gradually move to the south. especially for the north bay coastal hills. winds will be picking up about 30 to 40-miles-an-hour. a winter storm warning begins at midnight. they could pick up one to 2 feet of snow. on the radar we basically have our rain to the north. a few chances of shower in the north bay. at least for tonight we do have this, mostly cloudy skies out
