one, i do think we have to take a lesson actually from china's digital silk road and engage in what i call digital diplomacy. it is outside the standard-setting body but it goes to the point about community building. on the cooperation front, as the report says, we ought to welcome china in. we just have to do that with an awareness and an eye toward their strategy of 2035 where they want digital dominus -- dominance. we have to confront the ip front. when you get to the compete, what we are asking for is for the u.s. government to invest more in the private sector in innovation and r&d. on that score, congress has to catch themselves from creating regulations they don't understand, that will hobble innovation. i think we can do all three, cooperate, compete, confront, and that has to be a part of the china-u.s. strategy. >> to our panelist today, thank you for joining us on this really rich conversation. clearly an important topic and one that will shape the future of the u.s. and the globe. i want to thank the audience for attending and joining us for this conversation. please check
