i'm sarah simmons. >> i'm m martin. welcome to fox 5 morning news. tucker barnes, good morning to you. >> wisdom, good morning. temperatures fine. we'll be cooler than yesterday. yesterday turned into a beautiful day. >> it certainly did. i loved that. it is just like you're waiting. i'm a little nervous to see if anything will happen but i'll take it. >> i've got no real bad news in the next five days so that is good news. let's get started with a look at our map. 45 at reagan national and patuxent naval air station. yesterday, we were in the 20s across much of the region. today, about 20 degrees warmer than that. winchester at 37. we've got a cold front coming through as we speak. but you can see it is not too impressive because it is not much in the way of cloud cover associated with t it is what we call a dry cold front. later today, sunshine and a nice day. out to the west, see the mixed precip out towards chicago and some rain showers. that will be our weather forecast for tomorrow. we'll have rain back in the forecast during the day tomorrow.

russell simmons what he had to say was wonderful. i loved what jesse jackson had to say about her.same time. and i'm just still in a state of shock because she is somebody for whom i worked and who i knew and who i thought the world of, and she was such a talent, and a good person and fun person to be around. and i'm just still shocked at the fact she passed at such an early age. our heart and prayers go out to her family, to her daughter, brothers and sisters, and her mom. >> as do all our prayers and thoughts are with them tonight. reverend watkins, tell us about the first time you met whitney houston as she was coming to the white house to meet president bush. >> well, i actually met her at a dinner, but i met her at a dinner in new york city for the united negro college fund and i thought she was so elegant and warm, and she just greeted everybody personally before the dinner started, said hi, i'm whitney houston, as if we didn't know who she was. here it is this superstar introducing herself to everybody in this wonderful way, and then of course i was talking with one of her s

just before the hour and the end of the second hour i asked russell simmons the music mogul the political activist who joins me in our studio whether the wealth generated by whitney houston prevented people who loved her from intervening and getting her well. russell knew whitney houston very well. crystal why don't you tell us what your relationship was like? >> we were friendly i spoke to my family and to my charities. i don't know. you must have known she is a very free woman. i didn't want to comment on this as i told you. i started to speak on the last show the perception that the money will make you happy or that will release some kind of suffering is one we all know will not make you happy. sometimes you get these things you put faith in it it may make you better sometimes they cause more suffering. the idea why would someone with her talent and success be unhappy? it causes unhappiness. being a star like this you have seen time and time again a tremendous amount of pressure i lot of times it causes a very difficult time. my prayers are with the family. i manage many artists i have
