the owners of sinbad's restaurant next to the ferry building here in san francisco say they want to stay but as kpix 5's ford tells us, the port says this eviction came with 10 years' notice. >> reporter: sinbad's restaurant has been part of the san francisco waterfront for more than 30 years. >> we're known around the world not just the bay area. >> reporter: they lease the pier from the city and now the port says in three weeks, sinbad's must go. >> the time has come for this new ferry terminal expansion project that's coming down the pike. >> reporter: the city is adding three more ferry docks and sinbad's is in the way. the port also says this is no surprise. >> they have known for more than a decade that this project was coming. >> reporter: it has fantastic views and employs nearly 30 people. >> what we want to do is line up a new location so that, you know, these employees can keep their jobs. [ indiscernible ] >> the whole kitchen 18, 16 employees back here. >> reporter: sinbad's has had its problems before. it has been warned repeatedly for food safety issues multiple sewage leaks into the bay
