after any major disaster, alan singh search with a distribution is -- balancing search and rescue with a distribution -- with aid distribution is tough. katty: he was on the ground in nepal when the earthquake hit. having been there yourself and having seen the destruction, what is the biggest barrier to aid reaching those in need? >> is a combination of several factors. the difficult logistical situation on the ground, from the airport, dealing with the fact that this was an earthquake that hit a large area with difficult terrain. the roads are bad to start with, then landslides, then rain that triggered more landslides, it is a combination of things that make it challenging to get aid to those who needed the most. i have to stress, there's a big effort underway to scale up. we are working with the government to address the bottlenecks and get aid to those who need it, everywhere there is a need. this is a vast disaster. any country would have problems dealing with this situation, and nepal is a poor country with limited capacity. we have to stick together and make the best out of a c
