we actually do sioux were spot repairs.they are budgeted in the operating budget in the department of public works at $6 million per year. they take care of about 300 spot repairs in san francisco. we did an infusion of cash in fiscal year 2011-2012 to try to get down the backlog of spot repairs. but we are proposing as part of the long-term program is that we would actually fund $8 million a year of additional repairs for the next 10 years. our goal would be to actually get to about 700 or so repairs a year in san francisco. now i will throw in the confounding factor and that is the 2011 department of public works bond that was approved in november. this is a program managed by the department of public works and what it will do is actually increase the amount of street restoration and paving in san francisco. they will go to 60 miles a year and that will continue for the next three years. there is a list of streets that will actually be restored or repaved over the next three years. they will be putting in ramps and also s

also, right here on the we were border, sioux city, woodbury county, sioux city not in -- not in sioux county, by the way. all of these western counties, no votes in at all yet. in a 2008, mitt romney won these. both santorum and romney spent time there. it appears santorum is overperforming in some of these places were romney did well in some of these western counties, we shall seem you don't want to project anything out, we have zero vote from those important counties. one other note that domenico and our political unit came up with, mitt romney is underperforming in all of the mississippi river counties from what he did the last time. he is still wing many of these counties, i know everybody loves our red, light red, pink color scheme here, but if you watch it carefully, you can see, mitt romney is still winning most of the counties that he won the last time on this side, but clearly santorum made some inroads in these counties, cut the margins here, mitt romney isn't winning by the same margins he won by four years ago. this is a heavily catholic part of the state. there was the qu

woodbury county, where sioux city is, 3.5% of the population.se counties have a lot of democrats. you say, oh, it's 5% of the population, but you know it's a democratic county. this is conservative republican country. we don't have any votes yet. four years ago, mitt romney carried it by a pretty good margin, 15%, over mike huckabee. not that many votes four years ago. is the turnout up in this conservative area? when you come back to 2012, this is the area of the state that if it states this close, as we get out to the west, now especially that we're filling in these smaller rural counties. marshall county, we're waiting for that. that's actually a relatively large county when you get into this part of the state, 1.4%. webster county, we're waiting for that. this is key. if rick santorum going to pull it out, he needs to turn the rest of the map purple. if romney's going to pull this out, he needs to improve their standings as they start counting the votes. romney is ahead here. if he keeps that margin when the rest of this comes in, it is one
