look at this ominous skyline. in terms of what is going on active severe thunderstorms are out east of us. we have warnings in extreme eastern cecil county because of the strong moving storms into southern new jersey. a thunderstorm watch maintained through the 9:00 hour for much of the city limits. i think they'll drop it down some in the latter portion of the evening. maryland's radar showing a few spotty showers from dundalk. the storms that moved through is making a run through delaware, newark, delaware seeing powerful storms. we had tremendous lightning in new jersey and eastern pennsylvania. i'm watching a line forming towards the west of the state. this is still several hours away. during my 11:00 newscast we could track more storms across the baltimore area. be aware of that. there could be more storms overnight. 75 in town. 82 d.c. notice an unsettled planner. 80 degrees around the 8:00 hour. there could be spotty storms at 78. tomorrow another active day with late day showers and thunderstorms developin

i would also like to request that we reflect on skyline goals, which we all looked at in the early 70's. we never wanted to block our view it just by tall buildings creating a funnel, where we do not see the jagged edge of the sky in between. some of those visual analysis principles are not observed any more, and i am disturbed by that. i believe the increase of shadow on union square which is further reaching, and i am glad that people eloquently spoke about that this particular project needs to address it in a more serious manner than casually noting that there will be shadow. we have a shuttle ordinance. we need to figure -- a shadow ordinance. on the cake. i want to be very clear about that. i do believe that this e.i.r. needs to address a project which performs within the limitations that the code and the rules as they exist pose for us, and then we can talk about everything else. i just need to put that to record, because that is personally important to me, and i think i believe that's one of the reasons why

night fall came in left with a partly cloudy sky and muggy conditions, belaire not a bad looking skyline as we set the sun just before 8:30. we had the daytime highs in belaire hitting 90 dew point at 73, that's on the tropical side. we will talk act a very muggy overnight going into tomorrow morning which is going to start on the humid note. the radar is dry right now but that is subject to change. going into tomorrow afternoon and then in to the weekend. the airport checking in at 78 at the 11:00 hour. 83dc easton at 82. the dew point maps impressive. look at wilmington. 77-degree dew point. we are at near saturation level. 75 and waking up. right up to 91 around the lunchtime hour. those head indexes could run close to the middle 90's. right around 94 for the two degree guarantee and showers and storms from four into -- in to the 8:00 hour with temperatures back down in to the 80s. the southern shore, we will flip it out toward the west this is what we are watching -- a slow moving cold front that will advance to the east. it interact was a lot of humidity and that will be the trigger

you can see blue skies over the downtown skyline this afternoon. so while temperatures were near average today, and it's a little bit cooler out here, we don't have any marine layer at least moving in at this point, but in san francisco, the marine layer is starting to show signs of strength from the san bruno mountains out towards san francisco with some slivers of what we like to call dragon tail fog. we're also tracking showers and thunderstorms across lake tahoe, that's beginning to wind down at the current moment, and it's all about this marine layer, that is what's going to be dropping our temperatures. as we head throughout the afternoon hours, another day with conditions near 100, for those of you in the east bay. so it's hot again for tuesday, but then watch this, as we advance this into wednesday, conditions look a lot better. by the afternoon hours, we're only expecting upper 70s and also upper 80s so there is some cooling coming your way and that's also going to improve our air quality forecast. by tomorrow, most everyone either in the
