san mateo county supervisor warren slocum, i appreciate your time.'s get to that news now from fire officials. we'll listen in as to what they have to say. >> lorenzen i'm the fire chief of the menlo park fire protection district, we are at the scene of a commercial structure fire at 2700 middlefield road. this is an area of north fair oaks. it's an unincorporated area of the county that the menlo park fire protection district, protects, along with san mateo county sheriff, we had a reports of a structure fire on the fifth floor of a building under construction at approximately 1015, reports initially were a fire in the insulation. we got on scene and found thick black smoke emanating from the fifth floor. immediately it was escalated to a third alarm, the building had been evacuated by all the construction workers that were already on scene, right now the fire stands at eight alarms. that's 26 fire engines, seven ladder trucks. we also have ten mutual aid fire engines responding to us immediate need from santa clara county, kind of as a contingency
