it's a wet snow, right around freezing here. the roads are wet but not a lot of snow building up on 80. it's good news. we don't have chain restrictions but plows have been out trying to keep things clear with yet another late, late spring storm. this is how it looked when we first pulled up and this is video from last night as this storm goes through. a winter storm in effect in the sierra until tomorrow morning. so the ski resorts speaking of which, squaw valley for example couldn't get the start of amgen like yesterday but they have gotten 20" of fresh powder in the past 48 hours. the ski resorts are enjoying this late season. we talked to some rental shops up in the village yesterday in tahoe that usually rent bikes by now. they are still renting skis as we still join these wintry conditions and so, that's all i can tell you. it's going to be windy besides the fact that it could be slick. over the passes, especially, you could see wind gusts more than 40 miles an hour so be careful heading up here. if you are a skier or snow
