there have been a few reports of lightning strikes toward solano county. vacaville had some over to fremont and the peninsula. there will be some brief heavy rain and i wouldn't be surprised if we got some hail out of this. the cold rotates in. this could give us widespread brief heavy rain. the front last night was for everyone. a couple of inches of additional precipitation would not surprise me. the santa cruz mountains and marin county should lead the pack per usual. this has to rotate through the surface low. it will rotate to the note bay. that will give us a wide variety of active weather throughout the morning. in the afternoon we will have some some breaks and heating. the sierra will deal with a lot of snow. and winter storm warning through tomorrow morning and temperatures on the mild side because of the south wind but it will drop. in fact, gusts will go up to 35 -- due south at hayward. later today it will be more southwest when the cold air gets here. the difference between the lowe's and highs won't be much. the system needs to rotate throug
