two people are dead and another injured at a fight near a home in vallejo and solano county.e received a call about a heated altercation just after midnight on hargus avenue. officers and deputies arrived and found two men that were shot to death and a woman with a head injury. she is in the hospital and is expected to be okay. deputies say the situation is contained and there is no need to search for a suspect. >>> fremont police solved a mystery. bodies of teenage cousins were found. they went to a convenient store and were headed back to a home near the fremont border but never made it. there were visible injuries to both victims at the time. the case went cold but last year a homicide detective opened the case up and used new dna technology. authorities tied the homicides to clifton hudspeth, a career criminal that would minutes from where one of the bodies was found. clifton hudspeth has since died and his body has been exhumed and his dna was a match to the killer. >>> the police department will have a community meeting focused on a recent officer involved shooting. 10

this morning we are here at the intersection of ohio and maripos streets, it's an area of homes off solano avenue and i-80, this is where police say it happened. let's tell you what we know so far. we're told by police the young boy and his family, this is the area they were out celebrating on christmas eve. about 6:30 or so last night is when the shots rang out and the bullets began flying. that 6-year-old was struck in the torso, we are told, then when officers arrived, they discovered the child had already been taken to the hospital. he had been rushed there in a car. what we don't know is how this happened, why it happened, or who the suspected shooter is. that is all part of what police are investigating at this morning. what we do know is officers towed away a motorbike we're told is part of that investigation. now, this has got to be a very tough morning for his family to be dealing with this on christmas morning. the latest update we have from police is the child is in critical condition. obviously if you have any information about what happened, vallejo police want to speak with y

a lot more heavy showers worked into solano county. hayward, you've started to notice the showers pick up here and work through the east bay right along 580 and 880 and going across the bridges. we're already seeing good rain over the bay and up into the oakland hills, we've got a good little band there. but oakland for the most part seeing the lighter rain and it extends through the santa cruz mountains. so we're in there. the question is now, how long is it going to take? so we'll switch from high def doppler, put it into the futurecast. picks up on the rain where it is now. let's play it forward and i'll let this go all the way until about 11:00 tonight. watch what happens. it will take awhile. rain keeps going. and then by the time we've gotten into the 1:00 hour on saturday, the heaviest rain has moved to the east and we'll get a break from the first phase of this storm. i'll show you the forecast for saturday coming up here in a second. first, i just want to talk about one of the leading concerns. who's getting the best rain now?

chopper 5 over some breaking news out of solano county. police activity is shutting down both directions on interstate 80 in vallejo. good evening, i'm brian hackney. >> and i'm andrea nakano. this has led to an epic traffic back up. let's get right to emily turner with the developing details. emily? >> at this point it's nothing but bad news for commuters heading home through vallejo. at this point i-80 shut down in both directions. there's no estimated time for that to let up. in fact taking a live look out of chopper 5, you can see how far that back up stretches. it goes off the screen. at this point it's really going to be a nightmare getting either direction through vallejo at this point. we do know it has to do with police activity. in fact there's an overpass that's shut down where that police activity is happening. it's the overpass at magazine street and lincoln road. you can see officers standing on that overpass there working to develop that situation and resolve that, but there is no time on when that will be wrapped up. in the
