well it up day for you this morning on the quail fire barring in solano county fire. crew officials say it's now 85% contained. we back away. shuns of been lifted as firefighters are making progress against the 135 acre blaze. it broke out yesterday in solano county and it's burned the hillside just northwest of vacaville near quell canyon and pleasant valley rose cal fire says they've stopped the for progress. the crews are still going remain in that area throughout the night because they're trying to strengthen containment lines and put out those hot spots that continues to pop up. well, as wildfire danger continues to rise as summer approaches, we spoke with fire marshal and contra costa county fire protection district assistant chief chris bachman for stephanie lin talked with the fire marshal on what factors contribute to wildfires. and he told us dry weather has helped fuel a 25% increase in the wildfires so far this year, the lack of precipitation that we had over the winter months along you know, when we get those red flag days this year, we're seeing earlier

it's not for the immediate bay area, but it does include solano county. a lot of this is above 1000 ft and so far wind speeds are not that crazy, but they're picking up a little bit and mainly in the higher elevations. so mount diablo atlas peak now beat her big rock middle peak all out of the north, and it will increase like that's not what you want to see . highs today will be in the sixties seventies and eighties. really really tough on the temperature forecast because i've seen spreads about 10 degrees, just first, even individual areas. temperatures aloft have actually cool. diablo's 46 that red flag warning, though, will continue until at least eight pm friday, but the focus is again more towards the east and over us, immediate but still the system is digging down and that's going to allow these wind speeds to pick up and the temperatures starting off anywhere from forties fifties to sixties. the only way napa airport is 61 is because i have a north wind. to the north. you can see some low forties fifties pope valley, though, is 60 degrees petaluma
