well it up day for you this morning on the quail fire barring in solano county fire. crew officials say it's now 85% contained. we back away. shuns of been lifted as firefighters are making progress against the 135 acre blaze. it broke out yesterday in solano county and it's burned the hillside just northwest of vacaville near quell canyon and pleasant valley rose cal fire says they've stopped the for progress. the crews are still going remain in that area throughout the night because they're trying to strengthen containment lines and put out those hot spots that continues to pop up. well, as wildfire danger continues to rise as summer approaches, we spoke with fire marshal and contra costa county fire protection district assistant chief chris bachman for stephanie lin talked with the fire marshal on what factors contribute to wildfires. and he told us dry weather has helped fuel a 25% increase in the wildfires so far this year, the lack of precipitation that we had over the winter months along you know, when we get those red flag days this year, we're seeing earlier

solano county emergency services. officials say there is an immediate threat to life in that area and they have issued those evacuation orders. pleasant valley road from quail canyon to highway 128 and west to the county line. that fire has burned more than 100 acres, and it is 0% contained. and evacuation orders have been lifted for that 38 acre owens fire that blaze broke out yesterday afternoon east of highway 1 four miles south of point arena. the fire is 20% contained and no damage has been returned. >> embers blowing on to nearby homes. it is all happening at tourist road right next to county park. firefighters have stopped the dess othe blaze. it burned four acres. >> really what's kicking us here is the high winds. we have a strong north wind throughout san jose, and that's created fire problems for us. >> okay. and in richmond, crews are mopping up a warehouse fire at the chevron refinery in richmond. the fire started around 2:30, creating heavy smoke as fire crews tried to knock it down. there is no word yet

i'm in solano county right now. it's probably in the 90's. we've teady wind all day with pretty good gusts. and we are seeing the second red flag warning here in just a week. but we had one significant fire this past weekend. and cal fire is asking people to be prepared. the national weather service says that red flag conditions will continue from now through wednesday evening across much of north central california, including most a solano county. this comes just days after the fast-moving quail fire burned 135 acres north of fairfield. >> and briefly forced evacuations in the area. that blaze has been contained. but the danger remains for neighbors like kathy dos, the red flag conditions are concerning to say the least. she lives in the house that sits next to open space and worries about fast-moving fires like this one, you know, july through september. that's the season, i guess. really scary. and with fire season arriving early this year, cal fire is asking that everyone, not just those who live near the current red flag conditions. >> b
