in september governor newsom signed a bill that gives the solano county sheriff's office more flexibility to bring back retired employees to come back. there was also a petition from the state to help fill shortages within the vallejo police department. governor newsom says he has asked them to coordinate things with police to help with things like side shows and suggested the support should be limited and the chp should not do the work of local law enforcement. >>> san francisco police are investigating a shooting in bernal heights that left one man dead and two others hurt, including a toddler. sfpd has not said much about exactly what happened, but a man who identified himself as the father of the deceased man said he thinks his son carried out the shooting and died after shooting helps. >> for some strange reason, i didn't get a chance to make it here on time to stop it and now he's gone. >> police say a woman is badly hurt. the toddler suffered less severe injuries. both have been taken to the hospital. >>> a couple hours later san francisco police responded to a separate shooting th

tomorrow afternoon our more north bay communities over near napa and solano counties, you might be seeing a little bit breezier winds, but it's not going to be wind advisory criteria, not 50 plus-mile-an-hour gusts, but it's something to keep an eye on and maybe secure any loose outdoor objects. for the rest of us, quiet and calm winds will persist as this low pressure system continues to move farther and farther offshore. it's what is bringing the santa ana winds and diablo winds for us and continuing the offshore flow. temperatures are a couple degrees cooler compared to yesterday for most locations. the reason is because of that northerly wind. it's ushering in slightly cooler temperatures and it's going to continue that cooldown into our overnight hours, so a chilly night ahead of us is underway as that high pressure is going to remain in place and not do all too much over the next several days besides get clover and closer. it's going to allow our temperatures to stay well above average through the week with very little changes to the forecast the next several days. if you like the w
