why do you think that they have been soll overlooked? when do they decide that they have not been used much before? >> they are spread across huge volumes of lincoln's words there are 110 of the 111. fortunately for me i knew the gentleman int dallas texas who own one of the greatest fragments and he and his curator allowed me to use that in the book. >> one of the things that is wonderful. they become more than just showing what the verbiage was and what they looked like but they are showing them as artifacts. how did you get your publisher to offer those illustrations in the middle of this book? >> my first shout out goes to my editor caitlin mckenna. she advocated this as you are suggesting this is not inexpensive to put things in color and so right at the center of the book, 16 pages in color andhe as you also suggest, you n see the different colors on different paper. you can see lincoln's handwriting so shout out to caitlin. she persuaded at random house and i think this is a distinctive part of the book. >> we are going to show so
