some have come through requests of community groups for the central soma plan. one we will be eliminating the incentive for privately-owned public open spaces to provide playgrounds, sports clubs and dog runs. this was an incentive that provided a 33% reduction in the space required that they provide one of the above. the community felt that the private developers should provide this without the incentive so we have removed the incentive. this does of course mean the community needs to work really hard with project sponsors so they provide it to families and dogs and such needs. there's qualifying language on how portable water is provided within the popos many of there's technical changes that the planning department has requested in regarding to approvals of project driveway loading and operation plans. this plan will now prohibit single-room occupancy units except in units that consist of 100% affordable housing and we will prohibit group housing unless it's housing for persons with disabilities or transitional and buildings again providing 100% affordable ho

i work at somcan and soma filipinas. i usually work in community engagement, creating community planning workshops with youth, seniors, and parents, and i urge you to take note of this process whenever you design something in the south of market so that the designs and the feedback that you will get will be culturally competent. in terms of the central soma plan, the reality of global warming coupled with high concentration of automobiles in the south of market lead to an urgent need to take proactive steps to address greenhouse gas emissions and poor air quality. there is such a lack of green space and greenery in general in the south of market and just last week i was in a community planning workshop with seniors from mendelsohn house, and they were complaining that there's such a lack of green space in soma. and they would actually going to washington park at kearny street, take the 30 bus to exercise, to do their daily exercise. and i also urge you to think about, you know, these seniors who were a result of the past

we will build upon and enhance what is great about soma. you may have seen the slides before. they show the man paged growth we expect to see. this is existing conditions and this shows the plan at buildout. total space for 320050 jobs and 8600 knew housing units 62 million feet of growth. $2.2 billion in public benefits over the life of the plan of 25 years. existing as well as new funding sources listed here. it represents the single largest source of funding that would accrue to the city. this shows the same public benefits package by category with the second indicating the catted goes to be funded. the more detailed list of projects is in the implementation document. this is shaped by extensive process over the last eight years at dozens of public events and hearing. it is a broader range of community uses and benefits any other plan. it including environmental sustainability and neighborhood stabilization which would be funded by the cfd. the next part of the plan focuses on mechanics of the presentation. this is the future annexation map. it ask an all annexation distric
